Fortevino Osteria Contemporanea

It use to be one of our favorite restaurants in Florence. Apparently it changed its management recently and the change is unfortunate. Now the menu is totally different and cooking is below average. Plus there is a difference between what is on the menu and what you get on your plate. Fir example, we ordered rack of lamp but received other meat-containing parts of that animal. Florence has many nice restaurants and if you have a choice i suggest now to avoid Fortevino.

We ordered a starter of sicilian eggplant which came in which looked liked a tortia cup but i was actually cheese and it was delicious. The fettucine with mushrooms was very fresh and definately homemade. . The roasted potatoes nice and crunchy. Right next to forte16 hotel. Close by . I would recommend

Recommended to try by the hotel. Surprisingly good food, great staff, informative and willing. Would visit again on another trip.

Great, from appetizers to dessert all perfect, very kind staff, agostinum is an added value. recommended! only very abundant sinful portions!
