Beautiful traditional Osteria in the heart of the pedestrian-friendly Ferrara. I had literally seen this place and passed it without real interest. It looked quiet and empty a little before 20:00. We circled back and decided to see if we could eat here. Boy, we're glad we made it. We eat up where the older owner personally waited for us. We recommend her specialties. Delicious roasted anchovies... amazing! Butternut Squash filled ravioli, a sage with traditional butter and a sauce with Bolognese ... just amazing. Your house Dessert was excellent. Big coffee followed by free grappa. So a great and affordable experience!
It is a beautiful restaurant with great food and atmosphere in the heart of the old town in a narrow street. We celebrated our new year night there and it was wonderful. We had sardines, Tortellini zucca, Risotto seafood that was wonderful. We had a very good wine and a delicious desert. The owner Laura is a great person with many stories and knowledge about food, history etc. Zoppa engles was the best ever thank you so much, would like to come back

We had both lunch and dinner here. The food was exquisite. The Cappellacci all zucca were the best we've ever tasted, generously filled and generously served. The Faraona was beautifully tender and its unusual ingredients perfectly balanced. The fried Alici, a speciality of the house, feather light, as also was the fritto misto. For dessert, nothing could be more heavenly than the budino del paradiso. Its a rare and very pleasant thing to eat so well in such a friendly atmosphere, guided by the wonderful lady owner.
