P.f. Chang's West Hartford - Farmington

Sa in the bar area. the service was ok. the dumplings were thought to be a little too much, and the egg drop soup was much thicker than usual. have often been dismayed in past.

The only problem is that open table reservations are added to the walkable waiting list, so while we checked early on for our 5:45 reservation, many of the waiters were put forward so that it was after 6:00 clock before a table was available. this seemed to happen with all open table reservations. might be an update on the open table where this is displayed.

A reservation is treated no differently than a walk in. Thought it would prioritize us but we waited behind everyone else. I asked for a both yet placed in the middle of the restaurant with 2 booths that opened as soon as we sat. Server took order and I asked for a bowl of soup, took forever to come back and take the food order. Not in their control but 2 super loud large tables. Food is never consistent and so over priced! Taste was ok, got mushy chicken fried rice, so odd. Ordered take out once from here too and it was terrible.

Children are beautiful — but when there are 3 of them all under age 4 running around the entire dining room screeching — while parent and grandparents are oblivious to others who wish to enjoy their dining experience it’s unacceptable. They were ‘spoken to’ twice but nothing changed. We sat by the kitchen to avoid the chaos which made our experience less stressful but certainly not as lovely as it could have been. Food and service is consistently good but tonight was not an enjoyable experience.

Our server and his back ups were awesome great attitudes and on top of everything. Food is always good here so are the drinks
