I had Frango for €6 and my husband had duck, what appeared to a whole duck, for €15. What a feast, rice, chips and we started with bread, mature cheese and olives. Three beers to drink and the whole bill was only €32. All beautifully cooked and very tasty. The place is now more modern with a lovely outside walled patio. All in all, not as traditional as the old place, but very, very good. Be warned, the staff speak no English.
Loved this little place just near Ibis hotel.frango salad and chips really nice Staff very accommodating.
As young kids both my husband and I had grandparents and parents who caught and cooked rabbits. So when we saw rabbit on the menu in this quirky semi-hidden place we couldn’t resist as it’s now hard to get and very expensive in Australia. It was beautiful. Very friendly staff and thinking we’ll be back for the pork!
I don't understand the negative reviews for this place. I suspect that the 1 star reviews are of people with personal problems (competitioners)? Ex-employees? Anyway, I thought the place was juicy, cozy and the food was very tasty. The other customers seemed to be all locals. The waiter didn't speak English, and I didn't speak Portuguese, but he took out his phone and we just communicated through a translation program. It was funny! Warning: If you first enter all you see is a take window. You need to put the door to the left to get to the dining area. This place is outside the city walls of several popular hotels.
Good for food
