Contribuiți la feedbackDuring our stay in Derby, my husband and I used a Derbyshire Wayfarer pass to explore the county. One of our stops was the Burnt Pig in Ilkeston, a cozy pub with a welcoming atmosphere. They had a good variety of real ales and were dog-friendly. We also bought some cheeses, pasties, and pies from the fridge near the bar to take home with us. Overall, a worthwhile visit.
I agree with many earlier reviews. This is a beer lovers paradise run by a super friendly and highly knowledgable landlord. Not only is there always a great array of beers but some great food lurking in the coolers in the bar. All in all an absolute must when in town.
This pub is a hidden gem, offering a wide selection of ale and cider perfect for beer enthusiasts. The owner is very friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming.
The restaurant was a perfect conclusion to our long walk from Derby to Ilkeston. I recommended we enjoy a well-deserved beer upon arrival. Despite never having been before, I had heard positive feedback about the place. It was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday afternoon, but both the barman and other customers were friendly and hospitable. The establishment offered a great variety of cask and keg beers. We chose to sit in the cozy back room, complete with a lovely fireplace. The decor was quite traditional, featuring many old pictures and ornaments.
A trip to the Burnt Pig is like a trip back in time, wonderful atmosphere, ever changing real ales, and snacks aplenty. Friendly staff!
