I visited Cafe de Beaumarchais with my parents and partner for Mother's Day, for the 1pm session, and had a really lovely time. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, the food was yummy and beautifully presented and the atmosphere of the cafe was lovely and relaxing.Compared to other high teas I think $55 pp is reasonable for a nice glass of sparking wine, tea or coffee, and a range of lovely savoury and sweet food (the sweets were the highlight of the meal). All of the mothers in the cafe, who were having high tea, also received a complimentary soap set from the cafe, which was a lovely touch. We had such a lovely time here. I'm looking forward to trying the Bohemian high tea next time ($35)!
Lovely little cafe in Sassafras. The decor is very pretty and the baguettes we had were delicious. Great coffee and friendly service. We will go here again.
A pleasant little French setting, what a picture is presented as you enter the French Doors! A real treat. Food so enjoyable, size & quality wonderful! Thankyou.
Went here on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy and it was very stuffy and hot with no air movement or fresh air. I mentioned this to the waitress but she just said yes it can get that way sometimes. There was an air conditioner on the wall but it wasn't on and there were no open windows. We couldn't wait to get out! The cheesecake was very expensive compared to what I've paid before and although ok, it wasn't anything special despite how lovely it looked. Nice French decor but that's the second time I've been and don't think the food is good enough for the price and it's also a bit cramped. Wouldn't bother going back. Many other nice places around.
