I visited for a day trip, so I can't comment on the rooms. However, the service was satisfactory and quite prompt. Although it’s a bit remote, it’s definitely worth a visit because of its fascinating history.

Fantastic spot for breakfast! I stayed here for one night several years back, and it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

We waited two hours for our food. The waitstaff seemed confused, running around without knowing which dishes belonged to which tables or who had ordered what. Our bill was incorrect, and they couldn't figure out what we had ordered. We had to go to the bar to get our own second round of drinks. The experience was terrible. Val is a charming little town, but the poor restaurant service could really harm its appeal.

I visited for the first time last week and instantly fell in love with the place. I was so excited to bring my wife back this week to show her. When we arrived, she also loved it. We sat down and ordered lunch and even started discussing plans to book a room for a weekend getaway. However, after an hour and 25 minutes, we still hadn’t received our food. It turned out that our order had been forgotten in the kitchen, and to make matters worse, the staff did not communicate this honestly. The manager spent 30 minutes assuring us that our food was just being plated, but ultimately we left hungry. If the restaurant is busy, it would be better to be truthful with customers.

This is a fantastic local restaurant and pub (actually, it's the only one in the area). They offer delicious food and have friendly staff. The pace of service fits perfectly with the laid-back vibe of Val town. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in the vicinity!
