Great atmosphere and music, old school local coffee shop vibe. Sticky bun was alright. However… their roster sucks, the pour over African coffees are over roasted and way too dark . I’m baffled why this light roast coffee would be done this black and destroy the nice flavors available. Maybe a misunderstanding of roasting times and types of coffee? Maybe people in Alaska just like dark roasted coffee?

I usually avoid going to this place, due to the unfriendly staff but my friend wanted to meet there. As usual, as soon as I walked in I got the feeling I didn’t belong here. I ordered a hot latte and received the cold shoulder. When my order was ready they set it at the end of the counter and did not call out my name. I had to walk up and check to see if it was mine. I asked the woman behind the counter were the lids were and instead of telling me or evening pointing to the lids, she stared at me til I figured it out. On top of it all, my friend bailed on me. Not the way I wanted to start out my morning. A good way to describe getting coffee here is like visiting a high-end clothing store where the staff ignores you because you don't fit their image of high society. Food is average Inside decor is great

J used to be a barista, and know good service, but this wasn’t it! My espresso shot tasted burnt in my coffee and it tasted awful. Never going there again! And when I said to the barista, have a nice day, they straight up ignored me.
