Contribuiți la feedbackWe had dinner on our last night at the Osthoff. The ambience was perfect, the service great and the creme brûlée was the best I've ever eaten. My husbands steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned and also delicious.
I went there on a weekend getaway. We were staying at the resort and thought dinner here would be nice, since we didn't have to leave the building. Unfortunately, our server, a young gentleman of 18, was not on point. He seemed to forget we were there. Our soup seemed to take forever to reach our table. He was not very efficient in timing our food, as our mains came about a 1/2 hour after we were done with our soup. The bread basket seemed to be the last of what they had for the day... hard and very little. I had the salmon, which was over done, as well as my dinner date had the tuna, which was overdone as well. I would not go back.
$40 later, I had the worst ribeye ever. I asked the waitress if the cook could open flame char a medium rare steak. She went to ask and came back and said, she said she could try. I doubled checked that it will be cooked on an open flame. Yes, she said. Ordered scallops for appetizer. Flavorless. I was served my steak.it looked like leather. No juices on the plate. No juices on top of the steak. No juices came out of the steak. I was brought out a clean butter knife but no steak knife. The steak also, had no flavor. We stay at the Osthoff Resort for conferences. I wish I would have went to McDonalds. Their burgers have flavor and are juicy.
One of my all time favorite places. Sit indoors or outdoors, good food, good service.
Fabulous Anniversary Dinner! We were greeted warmly as we entered the inviting lounge area and enjoyed chatting with the manager while enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail at the bar. The restaurant ambiance is elegantly furnished yet comfortable. Our server Elle was a delight! She was a true ambassador for the chef and his cuisine, and exhibited professionalism far beyond her young age. She is a keeper! Although we shared tastes of every wonderful dish, we both agreed that the Seared Scallops with Cauliflower Arancini, Brussels Sprouts, Orange Segments and Moody Blue cream sauce was our favorite! We also ordered Lobster Bisque, Veal and Prosciutto, Filet with Crab and desserts. Everything exceeded our expectations and I had leftovers to enjoy again at home. We look forward to our next stay at The Osthoff Resort.
