Village Pizza And Pub Elgin

We dined in and got a pizza ,couldn't finish it so we took some home it had a small piece of wood or what ever in it. When I ate a piece at home the sliver pierced the top of my mouth. I called and they told me it's not the first time they heard of that. They told me its the its oregano and there doing there best to get it out. If u know there have slivers of oregano that could hurt someone why would u put it in food that people are eating and not change the oregano out so its safe ???? They didn't even ask me if I was ok. Roof of my mouth bleed for a hr. I Won't be eating there or my family.

Please read this whole review. Picked up food here numerous times. Food is good. There is online ordering. Expect the order to take longer to be ready than the stated time. They seem to go out of their way to hire unfriendly people to work the kitchen/pickup counter area in the back. Other people have told me they experience the same thing, with regard to the bad attitudes. The food is good, but it's not unique, whereas you can't get the same type of food elsewhere. 5 stars for the food, 1 star for the negative attitudes, equals 3 stars overall. I suspect the owner and/or upper management is unfriendly, because who would hire, and/or tolerate this many people with bad attitudes. It's a culture that rolls downhill from the top.

I ordered through uber eats. my driver cancelled on me twice. i was monitoring the uber eats app, they kept the driver waiting for more than 20 min. Obviously the driver doesnt have the time wait. I called restaurant and pretended that there was no order and called them three times and told me there was no driver to pick it up. They are way over their heads with ordered and just lied to me about it. Awful, waited for my pizza 1 and half hour! Awful customer service!

This rustic bar grill style restaurant does have a pizza focus but has a full bar and gaming area, as well as plenty of space for special events. Located right off Randall Rd. in Elgin, and just north of I-90 by a few streets so easy access off the highway, this restaurant has gluten free options for food, features a small arcade for kids, and a southern den-style theme straight out of south/midwest atmosphere. You'll see a lot of stuffed animals throughout- mounted heads and full size smaller animals, as well as vintage firearms, antlers, farm equipment, and such to complete the look. The center of the restaurant features a 3+ story raised/open ceiling around a fireplace, and the wood beams throughout give it the look and feel of a barn or lodge. I only took off 1 star for service as my wife and I waited to be served for about 5 minutes on a Sunday with a lower customer crowd inside- maybe they were short-staffed at the time; otherwise, the atmosphere, food, and service by the staff after that was great! Vegetarian options: Gluten free food options like the margherita pizza. Kid-friendliness: There is a small arcade inside where kids can play and give parents some free time to socialize.
