Rice Bowl Deluxe (callingwood)

Rude and arrogant staff!!!!!!! We called to order for pick up while we are driving. We wanted to order fried chicken and the lady literally answered with rude tone “i don’t know what you want, don’t have friend chicken!” I then asked what are popular on their menu. she then again responded with “ we have lots! We’ve been here for 12 years!” Okay?! And your point is? You can’t even name one single “popular” menu!! Unreal!! I will make sure to never come back here and tell my family and friends to never give business to this place ever again!If you want to be treated with absolute disrespect, then go to this place! Otherwise there are other local business in town that would treat customers with decency and have better quality of food!100%would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!

I came in here post blood work after realizing I'd be too out of it to make myself food once I got home. The affects hit me harder and quicker than I expected and the person working at the counter noticed and was very nice. I'm not sure if it's something they're used to being right next to a DynaLife, but either way, they offered me apple juice and even brought my food to where I was sitting so I didn't have to get up to the counter. Seriously, the person working that day has my thanks ten times over and is probably the reason I didn't pass out on the bus and miss my stop.I can't say much on the food since I've only eaten here once, but it was decent. I got a noodle dish w the thin vermicelli noodles which is just not something I like much because my brain was NOT working at full capacity and I would've enjoyed rice more. That's on me though. The lychee fruit smoothie w the tapioca pearls was great!

Horrible experience, the fat asian lady was extremely RUDE. She placed my order wrong when i even said no veggies, since I’m allergic to mushrooms. She didn’t even repeated my order. I called and she said she was sorry, but it wasn’t even sincere lmao and she was in a rush to hang up the phone. She was proclaiming it was my fault. I used to be a manager in a different restaurant and i can tell that this manager doesn’t deserve her job. She didn’t even find a way to solve the issue. I thought every restaurant should uphold customer service. The other branches of rice bowl were extremely nice and accommodating, but this one was clearly not. This is my first time experiencing this kind of treatment, would never be coming back to this branch again.

On Mother's Day, I placed an order for a buy one get one free Deep Fried Chicken Rice bowl. I added a Dragon Eye Roll and a Vietnamese Coffee. My coworker was supposed to place an order for her own Buy One/Get One and I was just going to drop it off for her.When I got there, there were only a total of two rice bowls instead of the four I had expected. After a bit of confusion from the young cashier and me, they rang up another Buy One/Get One. They were patient and friendly about the situation. Thank goodness I didn't make a fuss because the confusion was with my coworker as she thought WE were doing a BOGO together. Nuh uh. I wanted the BOGO all to myself; one for dinner and the second one for my lunch the next day. SO...BIG apology to the restaurant for the confusion.I enjoyed my meal. I love the veggies that are with the mix. For me, the rice bowls usually are good for one meal and one snack meal. My favorite dish (and my coworker's and sons' is the Japanese NY Steak bowl)Dragon Eye is always filling and good. I actually have to share that with my son as it is FILLING.Their Vietnamese coffee is nice and strong. Maybe stronger than what some restaurants tend to serve but I'm all for it as I tend to add an extra espresso shot to my Starbucks coffee and Tim's Ice Caps. (Also love their Lychee bubble tea with Lychee pieces.)Sometimes service there is slow during busy times hence me calling my order in for pick up most of the time. I am not bothered by it as they make their drinks and food as they are ordered. I just use that opportunity to play my phone games while I wait.Side note....not a huge fan of their pho. It could be that being Vietnamese, I like my broth to be a bit more traditional in flavor.Parking: Located in a strip mall with lots of parking options. I don't park right in front of the restaurant though because it can be difficult to back out when during peak hours. I love going to Dollarama or Cobbs if I have to wait.

Nice lunch. The Chkn Katsu Curry with Rice was really good The Pad Thai Beef Noodles were great. The restaurant was clean
