The Cumberland - Edinburgh

The food was disappointing; the burger tasted like an old boot and definitely wasn't freshly made. When we mentioned our concerns, they offered no compensation. The chips were soggy, resembling frozen oven fries. Unfortunately, we won't be returning for a meal, even though it's our local spot that we enjoy. Based on our experience, the food quality is inconsistent. It's a nice place to go for drinks, but it seems to depend on which chef they have on duty for the food, making it a bit of a gamble. We would recommend it for drinks, but not for dining.

An iconic place, food good pub grub, service could be a bit more on it.

The staff and the ambience were great. Thoroughly recommend The Cumberland for a Sunday evening beer and dinner.

Beautifully kept pub in the New Town. The staff are exceptional; welcoming, friendly and polite. We loved the delicious Sunday roast. Also a great selection of locally brewed ales. A highlight of our weekend.
