Kate's Kitchen - East Ayrshire

My coworker and I ordered the Macaroni Chips from this restaurant today and it was one of the worst things we have ever tasted. The chips tasted like reheated microwave chips and the macaroni itself was indescribable, like a strange synthetic yellow goo. Their macaroni tastes like a failed experiment and we regret wasting £9 and 20 minutes of our time picking up our order. Needless to say, we will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

I have dined at this restaurant several times and I can't figure out why I keep coming back since my order has never been correct. This morning, I ordered a soup with pepper and a roll with sliced onion and brown sauce, but I ended up with a soup without pepper and a roll with sliced fried egg with pepper.

My partner and I have ordered food from Kate's several times, and while the food is mostly delicious and fresh, I have to mention the extremely poor quality of customer service we have experienced on multiple occasions. During our latest visit, the server did not say a word, reluctantly provided us with a bag after we requested one, and swiftly left after serving us. There was no politeness, no customer care, just rudeness. This has happened more than once, leaving me disappointed as we specifically travel to Kate's for their food, but it seems we won't be coming back due to the lack of good customer service.

6 members of staff and still had to wait 25 mins for one roll as they were all dealing with orders that had been phoned in. Won't be back

Nipped in to kates kitchen for lunch...3 rolls and slice and 2 soups. The soups were dished out straight away and left behind the counter, however we had a 50 min wait for the rolls by which time the soup was freezing. By the time we left with our lunch it was diner time!
