I sat down for a 1/4 breast chicken tikka meal, with garlic naan as an extra, and decided to go with the Bombay Brech. I found it strange that the waiter did not bring my meal, drinks and garlic naan at once, but at different times.
Fantastic beautiful service, Chickenticka is one of the best ever in South Africa. Fantastic service, would recommend all the way to my friends and family members.
This place used to be amazing. It was a quiet evening when we arrived. The waitress took our or our 4 and went away.... And from... 45mins later our food arrives, after 2 inquiries. I ordered the mixed grill plate. The dice of the chicken were good except that u would get Tikka dice and Malai dice. There were no Malai cubes... I wasn't ready to wait for them to get it right... so I ate. Go to the main piece of chicken, the Tikka breast....what a disappointment. I ordered extra hot... it was barely hot....but the bottom certainly had its fair share of heat...cos it was black. Again, I wasn't worried because I wasn't the one who puts the party on everyone else's feet. But... the table next to us was very unanimously waiting for her over an hour... very disappointing.
Since I am a bit of a fast food critic, in my opinion it is not the best place to eat. I had the unpleasant experience of the owners who invite us for the removal containers. Customer service and hygiene should be at the highest point at any fast food outlet.
Unfortunately my experience of CHINESE chow mein from Kebabish overport was a disaster. What was delivered to me was definetly NOT chow mein. It was just a chicken noodle stir fry. If you open pictures you will see loads of black pepper, it was actually overpowering and so as the salt. The oil at the bottom of the takeout container was yellow as you can see, probably from the use of curry powder or tumeric but deninitely NOT from using SOY SAUCE which is the basic for chow mein. I needed a microscope to see the tiny pieces of chicken that were added in there, tell me if you can see them. Basically their chicken noodle dish was not even close to an authentic chow mein. This taught me that sometimes its better to just buy chinese food from a chinese restaurant, that way you know there are no chancers...
