I chose a truthahn and cranberry roasted sandwich to accompany my coffee, and was particularly satisfied with both. the coffee was good and hot and the sandwich delicious. there were nice comfortable chairs as well as many chairs and tables. the personal was friendly and accommodating. overall it was a pleasant stop.
View of the corner of an inconvenient coffee shop. cheap and quiet after visiting the Saturday market. friendly server, unusual offers, no print.
Our double espresso tasted weak and on search for the server, whether it was a double or a single shot, she confirmed that it was the former. it seems as if the setting on its coffee machine has to reset. I will not come back until it is fixed.
I work in the inner city so that I love to support our local businesses, but every time I order an ice espresso from the twisted cup, it comes almost full of water espresso. two dishes over ice should not fill the glass to the rim until I cannot fit milk. that happened three times, and I ask her for the first time to get it back, but I don't think I have to do that every time. I feel like I'm not coming back, because that's so light drink to make and I never have fun of it. I go the extra 2 minutes to duncan garage caffe, where it is always right.
The Twisted Mug is a very nice place set on a major downtown corner of historic Duncan with lots of windows for people watching, a decent selection of tasty goodies, very friendly and capable staff... but if you are larger than a thin pre-teen, your...butt will be squeezed between the two metal bars at the back of the seats of all the individual tables until you're crying for relief. It is frankly impossible to sit in those seats for the majority of the population for more than a couple of minutes so it makes it very difficult to enjoy the offerings of this café. Fortunately the communal table has better chairs otherwise this place would be a total write-off.
