Taste Of Emilia - Dublin Road, Ratoath

I ate at the Taste of Emilia one evening when my wife elected to stay in our apartment. She had a cold. The small eatery on Lower Liffey Street by the River Liffey is in what appears to be the Italian quarter of Dublin. The menu is strictly Italian with English language presentation. I kept it simple, ordering a small pizza and a glass of chianti. The place was crowded and I even heard some Italian chatter. It was lonely for me, but I liked the place. Very inexpensive. The restaurant is actually a street-level part of the huge apartment building where we stayed a week. It's just a few doors down from Lott's Pub. I wrote my review before noting Taste of Emilia has closed.

Taste of Emilia has got a new look and name (which actually escapes me now, I'll edit it later when I find out!! It's il Fornaio or the Baker ; I must have walked by this place a 100 and a 100 times have said, I must try that place out. Have an awful sift spot for genuine Italian and it doesn't get much better than this. Aesthetics were so pleasing, rustic and warm. Service was excellent. The cannoli wasn't the very best cannoli I've had but was up there. And the coffee was the proper stuff. Strong and smooth!! Won't be another 100 times before I return.

Really taste Italian food for a very nice price! Good staff and environment! I just would like to know when it is going to open up again as I went there twice in a couple of days ago and it was closed... :

Very quiet environment, excelent for a date without pressures, and the same for meeting friends for quick bite...reminds italy with meats and cheeses the view ... great wine and good food.
