This branch is in a great location on Baggot Street, to its detriment there are lots of other eating options in the area. Decent burger but its a short menu, no real dessert options and it gets expensive when you add fries and a drink to your order.
We arrived in Dublin late one night and ended up here because it was one of the few places open in the neighbourhood. The four of us each had a burger and shared 2 orders of fries. All were good and filled the void but nothing was exceptional. The music was too loud for our taste and some very rambunctious people were there but luckily they left soon after we arrived.
My wife and two of our daughters were heading home from Holles Street Hospital after visiting our youngest daughter who had her second child yesterday. Decided to to to Eddie Rockets in Baggott Street. It is now Rockets by Eddie Rockets, think Brown Thomas meets Penny’s and in D4. A glorified take away with seats. No malts which was daughters like, no comfortable seating which we all like. No table service, we liked. Dreary Northside style place. Went many times previously, last visit. Food was good but Rockets is Penny’s dining gone wrong.
Impeccably clean restaurant. Varied menu with a rustic approach to burgers and fries. Have dined in other Eddie Rockets restaurants over the years but this one has been by far the cleanest with the friendliest staff and great and not greasy food!
