Coda Eatery - Dublin

The restaurant was uncomfortably cold, reminiscent of the Baltic region. The manager was dressed in a shirt, woolen polo neck jumper, and jacket. It was so chilly that we had to leave early, skipping dessert and coffee. Overall, a disappointing experience.

We had a delicious three-course meal that was beautifully presented, and enjoyed fantastic cocktails (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) on Saturday night before attending Our Planet at the 3 Arena. Despite being busy, the service was great and the staff were lovely. There was no pressure to rush through our meal, even though we arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation. We will definitely be returning in the future.

I have never written a negative review before, but this dining experience was extremely disappointing. The starter was lacking in flavor, and our main course was even worse – the vegetables were bruised and wilted, making it unappetizing. The steak and chicken were bland and not served hot. Both desserts were also unappealing. We ate what we could because we were hungry, but for the price we paid, we expected much higher quality in both the produce and dishes. I would not return to this restaurant.

I had some delicious food but as I exited the bathroom, I was accosted by a man dressed in a bear costume. It wasn't Halloween and I don't think he was a real bear either, as he could use his thumbs quite well. The service was poor because a bathroom attendant watched the bear/man splash water in my face repeatedly. When I returned to my table, the atmosphere was frosty and I felt uncomfortable as the bear/man was staring at me from across the room. His piercing stare spoiled my banana split, and I began shivering uncontrollably due to the soaking I suffered. Will return when bears are in hibernation, or not at all.
