Hôtel Prince De Galles Douala

I love where the Hotel is situated. Given that it is found in the heart of town made our moving in and out so easy. They also have good professional and bilingual staff, which was also admirable. However, there was a night we slept in the dark as a result of power failure. No standby generator, no electricity, no air conditioner, we sweated profusely and through out the night, we were restless and couldn't sleep due to excess heat. I was highly disappointed a hotel as beautiful and prestigious as this one will not ensure its clients are comfortable by providing an alternative source of power. I was surprised to be honest. Nonetheless, the environment is neat.

A 3-star hotel located in the heart of Douala AKWA neighbourhood next to Activa) and about 8.7 km from the Douala International Airport. The hotel is decent for the price and location, but there is a need for the pool and gym room to be revamped. Notably, there is only 1 treadmill when this review was written. The gym and the conference hall are found in the basement. The rooms are on the smaller side, but this is to be expected. On a good note, the staff are friendly and the food served in the restaurant is good. If you are not too picky, then this is an ideal hotel to lodge in its price range. It is not located on the main road so you won't be able to hail a taxi at the entrance. You can book for transportation or use the local Yango app to request for a ride.

The hotel is a good place for short or long stays. It has spacious conference rooms well equipped.

Hotel is very accessible, staff are very professional in the discharge of duties, rooms are comfortable and up to standard.
