Middleton Place - Charleston

The food was good, but the service was very, very, very slow. Our food arrived hot, but we had told the server that we wanted to get the check and get home...and it was another 30 minutes to get the check and pay.

We stayed at the Inn and walked over for our dinner reservation on Valentine’s Day. The service was wonderful and the food was exceptional. We enjoyed the classic she crab soup much more crab meat than many downtown restaurants. Also had the scallops as an appetizer, and they were perfectly cooked. My husband had the bone in tenderloin from the specials menu; easily one of the best and most flavorful steaks I have had. I enjoyed the pasta with rabbit, another special. We shared the chocolate creme brûlée for dinner, and it was the perfect way to end our meal. This will become one of our go to places. Well worth the drive!

The Plantation itself is a magical space and the food was top notch. The scallops were the best I’ve ever had as was the chicken. I would pass on the she-crab soup next time. We had the sparkling Malbec with our dinner and it was also very good. We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The service is always fabulous as well. Truly an experience to remember each visit.

Food was absolutely delicious !! Wait staff were a little odd and the place was FREEZING ! Everyone had their jackets on but we will definitely still come back for the food .

My wife and I visit the restaurant quite frequently and this time everything was wrong. It is usaually a wonderful experience. Hanger steak was average, service was confused, time waiting for anything was longer than normal. Waiter was good and spirited but obviously had a bigger party to attend to. Very unfortunate evening.
