Beach Walk Cafe - Destin

Our entire experience was wonderful. Celebrating my mother’s birthday was questionable due to concerns about social distancing at eating establishments. Beach Walk Cafe has their outside tables spread out, staff wore masks and we were very comfortable. Our food was fantastic. We dined on Pecan Crusted Grouper, Lobster Tail, Roasted Beet Salad and various sides. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

The view is amazing but the food is awful and overpriced. Not worth it. You should do a picnic instead.

The food isn 't to my liking. We ordered: Eggplant Medallions w Jumbo Lump Crab Meat: nothing really amazes me about this dish Thai Chili Shrimp: 3 pieces of jumbo shrimps isn 't worth $15. The sauce have an off taste that doesn 't compliment the Thai Chili sauce, but it was nicely battered. (no Star) Low Country Pork Belly and Diver Scallops: this dish was a failure to me. I 'm a huge fan of pork belly. I only ate half of a piece of pork belly and scallop. I informed the server that I didn 't like it. Yes, it was still on my bill. Crab Cakes: nothing spectacular Roasted Beet Salad: Simple. Lemon Grass Crusted Tuna: Better if it was grilled The service did not meet the price point standard of the restaurant. When I ordered a cocktail, the server 's response Can I tell you our chef 's feature first? was quite awkward (perhaps rude). How about responding with Of course. Just so you know, our chef 's feature of the day is.......... Per the server, the chef would like everything to be put in at once, so it could be timed out. We order 4 appetizers. All 4 appetizers shouldn 't have come out at once. Guests should be able to enjoy each dish at a time and not have other dishes sits. The ambiance on the balcony is definitely nice. You have the view of the beautiful Emerald Coast. I 'll give them 4 stars for that. Oh. The ladies get a rose at the end of the meal. That 's a sweet gesture.

Beach Walk Cafe was Definitely a 10. Their hospitality was awesome. The food was wonderful.

They are permanently closed, and when we arrived for our reservation, we discovered that they had likely closed even before we made our booking.
