To finally enjoy the first warm sun rays of the year, we chose the Georgengarten restaurant during the lunch break. Here you were set with beer garden set and blankets for guests who wanted to sit outdoors. In principle, the restaurant has a wonderful location in Georgengarten, walking to the castle and the animal park. However, service and quality could not convince. After we had taken place, our view of the day offers of the outdoor table fell. After some time we received the Spiese Card, we realized that the daily offers are individual dishes from the card, at the same price. There was no lunch. Thus, three of us chose the classic: pork carving with fresh mushrooms and pommes for about 12 €, a colleague for a small fish fillet dish of about 7.50 €. It took some time for the waitress to take the drinks. Due to our lunch break and the not very extensive spice map, we also told her the food requests. We were disappointed that we can't order food yet and come back later. She would still have been sitting tables so literally and has to coordinate. At that time only two women sat outside at two tables (one of them waited 20 minutes for their bill), inside where visible, were still occupied by two 4 tables. What happened after it should be extended, but also to the point: after some time the dishes were taken, which again demanded more than 30 minutes waiting time, the size of the dishes was normal, although it was a usual dish of the menu for 12 €, was not a decoration on the plate, the fresh mushrooms presented themselves as a gray mass with half raw, large onions had been decided to cut off the time would have been better put into service The whole process was so strange that there is no further visit to my side. Price and performance were in no proportion.
Enjoy a nice evening in the beer garden and the restaurant in the Georgengarten is also available. Good German cuisine with seasonal changing map. The price of performance suits.
After thorough investigation of the Georgium Park, we felt the inviting terrace on hot summer day as a pleasant oasis, although it (the heavily traveled Puschkin avenue bordering almost immediately) is correspondingly sounded the car noise, we still did not find it extremely disturbing. The per se extensive menu is complemented by seasonal daily meals and the price/performance ratio for a local in such an exposed location (Georgium) is correct: for us there was nothing to complain about.
You sit very nicely in the restaurant beer garden. The service was tried. Concerns came up, however, when the food was on the table shortly after the order. The fish not quite, unfortunately drowned in an undefined brown sauce. That's not how we imagined it.
