The Queen Anne - Derbyshire Dales

It is disappointing that we ordered steaks at this restaurant. I confirmed with the staff that we did not need to specify rare in order to get medium rare, but when our orders arrived, my steak was clearly overcooked. I brought it up with the staff, but received no feedback. After finishing our meals, I asked the waitress about the issue and was told they would try to do better next time. Unfortunately, the whole experience was quite rude and we were left disappointed. It's a shame because we were hoping to make this place a local spot, but we will not be returning. It seems they have enough business already and do not feel the need to improve.

We spent two nights at this charming village pub while on a motorcycle tour of the area. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and plentiful, and the prices were very reasonable. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. We highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again. Thank you for a well-located and welcoming stay.

We went with some friends who had been to the Queen Anne more recently than ourselves and had enjoyed it. Yes, it's basic pub grub, with little attempt at more ambitious fayre. It had a nice friendly atmosphere and we all enjoyed our meals.

There are always plenty of patrons stopping by for a drink at this restaurant. The staff and other customers are welcoming and the atmosphere is casual, not fancy or overly formal. The pub offers well-maintained beer and delicious food at reasonable prices, with interesting specials often available. The portions are generous and the garden offers a lovely view of the fields. The absence of music creates a peaceful environment for conversation. As a local resident, I frequently dine here instead of the more touristy pubs in the area due to these reasons.

What a fantastic pub. Found by accident when browsing for somewhere to stay in the Peaks. Stayed 3 nights. Food superb. Great full English breakfast and good selection for evening meals and reasonably priced. Good home cooking and generous portions and all cooked fresh to order so didn 't mind having to wait those few extra minutes. Our room, although not large, was clean and comfy with everything you could want and the bonus of own private courtyard if you didnt want to sit in the garden but who wouldn 't with those beautiful views. Angela, Glynn and their staff were all very friendly without being 'in your face '. Could not fault the service. Thank you. Can 't wait to return.
