Děčínský Sněžník Lookout Tower

Small entrance fee (check the hours and bring cash) into the tower You will get a key against some cash and you need to lock the door behind you to keep the tower reasonably occupied. You get back your 50czk (something so) when you return the key. There are small refreshments and souvenirs.

Excellent mix of German and Czech tourists. Nice romantic place.

We didn't get to the tower, because it was too late (around 17:00) and it was closed. However the views around it and while walking to it are amazing too. This is a great place for a weekend trip.

It is something to do when you are already driving around. For us it was a stop before the Tiske steny nearby. We went and parked at the (paid) main parking lot. A good nice green hike, but too long under the circumstances. Up part anyways. It was hot and most of the paved walk does not have any shade to rest. Somewhere 2/3rd on the way up there is a good place to stop and make wide overlooking shots on the rocks. The tower at the end is nice for some good pictures as well. There is a restaurant for meals and a smaller shop for snacks and drinks. We did not climb in the tower, but it is possible for a fee. Nice to do, but for us not something to repeat.
