Captain D's Seafood Kitchen - Dayton

My mother, my son, and I were in huber today and live about 40 minutes away. Anyway, we decided to stop here and have lunch the heart who worked today super friendly, our eating was hot, service was fast and they had smiles on their faces. I'm so glad we stopped here for lunch, more companies need people like these types so great employees!

It was ok. I normally really like Captain Ds but I have literally, not once, had fries that weren't chewy and lukewarm. The fries are consistently horrible. I won't order them again. The pieces of fish are now these long skinny pieces similar to a tender not a fillet. But, the fish, the shrimp, the hush puppies all taste great. The employees are always friendly.

Although the markee claimed dining room open the doors were locked for dinner. We got a snack via drive thru instead of 2 full dinners to sit inside enjoy.

Stopped in for a bite on a Friday evening. Tried “The Big Fish Sandwich”. Tasted as I expected considering it is two pieces of their battered fish within a large bun. Drawbacks...it is hard to eat due to being two pieces of fish, you take a bite and one of the fish pieces falls out of the sandwich. It can be a little annoying when trying to eat. Went back a week later and had the catfish feast, with green beans and fried okra. The fry was spot on that night. Catfish was hot and flavorful.

The food was prepared nice and hot. My fish was fried all the way through. Food did need some salt and pepper. Customer service was good even when it was becoming a little busy. I recommend
