Kaze Hibachi And Sushi - Dallas

Chef was good. Very entertaining and cooked our food well. However, the service was absolutely awful. Our server never attended to us and our drinks stayed empty and when she did come to check, she couldn’t understand us and we couldn’t understand her. She had no assistance with helping either. The restaurant wasn’t busy so there was no reason. On top of the neglect, we were charged gratuity on our party of 5. We split our checks into 3 and we were still charged. Very disappointing, 0/10 do NOT recommend.

While the service and the atmosphere were good, we were not impressed by the food at all. You have the option to wither sit at a table or hibachi. We chose to ait at the table. They brought us 2 menus when there were 3 of us, and 2 of the 3 menus were on plain white paper like it just came off the printer. We ordered sushi, which was good, but when we got our meals it was horrible. Everything was deep fried, and you couldn't tell the difference between the Cod or the zucchini. Everything tasted the same, and half our meal came after we had eaten.

Food was okay. I enjoyed the fried piece of fried sweet potato, but sushi was just okay. I loved the presentation. Services was just okay, and the cost (in my opinion) was too much for the food we received. The atmosphere was nice, and we enjoyed going outside to the little area.Food: 3/5

Beautiful atmosphere and decor… however the food presented and the customer service was below average. Food was over priced for the quality. Some sushi arrived out with tinfoil wrap (this is dine in) and the hibachi portions were much smaller than other places for the same price. There were no servers available that day, surprisingly since it was a holiday. One of the hostess had to serve our table and we’ll credit to her for attempting to serve us outside of her main job responsibilities. There was a lot of bickering between staff in front of customers right in front of tables. The dinner here itself was awkward and uncomfortable due to the tension between staff communication and this impacted our service. Took a long time getting our server’s (also hostess) attention and follow up on simple items such as getting silverware/water for the table.Will give Kaze a try in the later future perhaps…

The food is great but the prices are high. Also, the waitress charged me 30% gratitude tip. There was only 4 of us, 2 was just kids and we did not use a habitchi table. That's outrageous!!!Food: 1/5
