The bed has stretched out springs and thin mattresses, so it’s more like sleeping in a hammock than a bed. And ever time the other person in the bunk turns over the whole bed shakes and creaks. The meal was absolutely terrible microwave cooking. Frozen fatty meat with instant mashed potatoes and instant gravy. Breakfast, on the other hand, was ok. No hot water unless you pay an exorbitant fee and they even charge 2€ to charge your phone. All this completely ridiculous, since the refuge is located in a village with easy vehicle access.
Situated in the charming small village of Ferriere (2 km from Bere), reachable via a narrow and scenic asphalt road, the restaurant is located right at the beginning of the village. It offers classic polenta cooked in a stone pot in various variations (the excellent version with sausage and tomini on the plate, although perhaps it should be specified that the "condiment is separate and there is no sauce) and delicious tripe, which were the dishes of the day! Also tart cake and zabaglione and delicious desserts!
