Absolutely great little barbecue place! We have been passing this place for a couple years saying we need to stop next time they're open. Dang! Why did we wait so long! We came in and sat at a cozy little round vintage table surrounded by historical pictures, implements, tools, and souvenir menus. Our waitress was one of the owners who helped us decide what to try. My best judgment of a barbecue place comes from the pulled pork sandwich and that is what I ordered. She made me nervous when she described the pork as pulled and a little chopped (I don't like it chopped) but we had pork nachos as an appetizer and my worries disappeared....tri-colored tortilla chips covered in nacho cheese, tender pulled pork, perfectly balanced sweet-tangy-slightly spicy barbecue sauce (her husband's recipe), and freshly sliced jalapeños. My husband ordered the brats, slaw, and fries. The sausage was flavorful and juicy. My pulled pork sandwich was overflowing with tender, moist pork, next to freshly shredded slaw, and hot crispy fries. Everything was perfect temperature, perfectly seasoned, and delicious! The portions were super generous. I had enough pork and slaw left over to take to work for lunch tonight. Service was just right, as well. We we checked on a few times, tea refilled, and table pre-bussed as needed. We will definitely be back for a date night to try the ribeye steak!
