Blue Mountain Tavern - Cortlandt Manor

Excellent food, roasted eggplant was a highlight, but everything was good. Most fashionable beer selection for a tavern, but overall the bar is acceptable. The staff seemed exaggerated, maybe inexperienced? It's hardly a knock, but it was a bit unpleasant. Dining room is decorated and it lacks decor, although it is a very cool old building so that somewhat even. We have dined with a mixed group during a special occasion and all were very satisfied with the food and experience as a whole. I'm looking forward to revising here.

We got an email that a new restaurant now offers a new happy hour and of course we had to go there. Brian is a great host and Donna is a fun bartender, just what you want with a good happy hour. This is a small restaurant/bar and is open only a few months. There are 4 menus, Happy Hour 4pm 7pm, Snacks 9pm 10pm, Entrees 4pm 10pm, and weekly specialties 4pm 10pm. We started with excellent barbecue potato chips. Edamame in sea salt has been perfectly made A Ruben Sandwich with 8 days of beef Brisket, Sauerkraut, Pickles, 1000 island dressing on marble rye was excellent. We finished with very good mozzarella sticks with a whole tomato-Marinara sauce. Sauvignon Blanc and Pino Grigio were perfect. Another e-mail announced they are doing Sunday Brunch. This is a very good find.

Small place so it gets filled especially on weekend nights. Simple atmosphere. I had the clam chowder and wasnt impressed with it but everyone else with me enjoyed their meals. The mozzarella sticks were yum and the service was great.

That 's hardly a knock but it was slightly awkward. Dining room is drafty and lacks decor, though it is a very cool old building so that evens out somewhat. We dined on a special occasion with a mixed group and everyone was very happy with the food and experience overall. I look forward to revisiting here.
