Closed thought it was under renovation? Sad no notice especially on website!

The food is really good. Tastes fresh and cooked to order. Amazing selection of beer. If they don't have it on tap then they'll most likely have it in a bottle. Love their antique fans and the the whole devote brings the place together. Definitely would recommend the yam fries. Favourite thing to do there is sit on the patio and watch all the car accidents happen on the intersection of brunette and Lougheed. Dinner and a show

I used to visit this place before they changed the name to Townhall Public House. It used to be known as The French Quarter pub. It was built back in 1934 as part of a hotel that catered to the new arrivals in Maillardville, most of who were looking for work at the lumber mills down on the Fraser River. It always had a nice, relaxed, cozy atmosphere and I don't doubt that that hasn't changed. There was always great food specials served here that you couldn't ever come close to beating anywhere else in town. There is a good little pub just down the street called Woody's if your looking for more of a fast paced, loud, live music party crowd but I much prefer to sit down and relax with a nice cold beverage and be able to have a conversation where I can hear the person I'm with without having to yell to be heard. I haven't been to the Townhall since the name change, but I have been in other Joseph Richard Group establishments before and have never been let down yet. It'd be a simple choice if your looking for great food, great people, great prices and an all-round good time.

Came here for breakfast as we ran out of good options closeby. Certainly good value, but nothing special about the food. I usually go for their skillet or omelet, which was good but not great. Service was meh most of the time. Perhaps because we are not regulars, perhaps some other reason. Wife and I were never satisfied afterwards. Oh wait... why didn't I go to Ikea next door for good value food...
