Mike's Family Restaurant - Cookstown

I liked the whole family type feeling I got when I entered the restaurant . it opens for breakfast early and you can have dinner there . There are always specials written on a whiteboard and prices are reasonable. Mike comes out and welcomes all the newcomers and hellos all the regulars.

I recently met a few business associates at Mike's Restaurant in Alliston. It's not on the main road but it's easy to find. I find that Mike's is the perfect spot to meet for a quality breakfast. It's good ol' comfort food. You can't beat the price and the service. It's the perfect location for an early morning business meeting and a great way to start the day.

I visited Mikes Family Restaurant on the weekend of Jan 8th, 2017. The place was mostly full. I got one of the last two tables. I was kindly greeted in a timely manner by one of the waitresses.Given the capacity, I was surprised with how quickly the food arrived. The meal was pretty good.The one complaint I have is that the place was really cold. I happened to be sitting near a sliding door, so there may have been a draft, and I also get cold quite easily. However, I wasn't able to take my winter jacket off through the entire meal.A decent experience overall.

I have never been dissappointed eating at Mike's! The food is always good, atmosphere very pleasant! Happy Holidays everyone!

This was our first time visiting Mike's Restaurant. We were in search for a homemade diner breakfast. Unsure what to suspect, we decided to try Mike's. The atmosphere feels like a family gathering, the walls collaged with images from Mike's past. Friends, family, colleagues and regulars all involved in the memories. The menu is simple yet effective, I had the Greek omelette - it was fantastic, with potatoes on the side. I didn't know what to expect, it was not a conventional greasy spoon, which is much to my liking. The potatoes were not deep fried and we walked away with full, happy stomachs. Prior to paying, Mike, to our surprise was standing by the till waiting to hand us a Christmas Card. It was truly the cherry on top to a wonderful breakfast.
