Stock Bailey Wine - Colchester

We went to celebrate a friend's birthday and had made a reservation for 7:30pm. The bar was not very busy, but we were not greeted upon arrival. Instead of being presented with menus, a menu was thrown at us with a rude attitude. We were not even seated and the service was terrible. A simple friendly conversation would have made a difference. Keep in mind, we were a group of 7 people, and the restaurant lost out on a lot of money that night. Such a shame! The staff were rude and unimpressive. We decided to walk out and go elsewhere. Definitely would not recommend this place.

Stock and Bailey did an excellent job of catering a buffet lunch for a post-Baptism party on Sunday. The food arrived on time, was beautifully presented, and accommodated special dietary needs. Despite it being a busy day, they went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The use of compostable plates, napkins, and utensils was a nice touch. Great job and thank you!

During a short break in Colchester, two friends and I stumbled upon this wine bar. It turned out to be a fortunate discovery! We enjoyed drinks and shared a charcuterie and cheese board, which was both delicious and great value for money. The portion sizes were generous enough for the three of us. The service was fast, efficient, and friendly, with reassuring Covid precautions in place. The atmosphere was comfortable and enjoyable, accompanied by excellent music. Despite being mid-week and not very crowded, we hope this restaurant becomes a big success as it truly deserves to be.

Had a great evening out and about, Daisy our waitress was amazing, 10/10 would recommend if you after a calm and classy evening.
