Contribuiți la feedbackChef?s Special is unlike anywhere in Chicago. The cocktails are well thought out and the food is to die for. The crab Rangoon and eggrolls were perfect for starters. The Mongolian beef and the Kong pow chicken were perfect for main dishes. The desserts are lovely. The staff is helpful and generous. This is a great choice for anyone looking for Chinese food in Chicago or Bucktown.
Definitely found our new spot to enjoy great food, drinks and some of the best customer service I?ve had in a long time. As we parked our car and opens our door we could already smell the delicious flavours coming from the kitchen. It was a packed Saturday night and we didn?t have reservations so opted to wait for a table or bar seat. The hostess was seriously awesome! She kept us constantly updated and rushed outside where we were waiting anytime a bar seat opened up. Weenjoyed a great meal at the bar with such friendly service. The ambiance is energetic and just perfect. Can?t wait to go back!
This isn’t a fun review to write, we’ve been fans of Chef’s Special for years, but after giving it two chances this week, I can’t help but vocalize my disappointment on how Chef’s Special’s food quality has declined. The orange chicken was overcooked, the Kung Pao Chicken would’ve been more aptly named Kung Pao Peppers, and the Crab Rangoon was barely filled. The ambiance is great and the service is fine, but in terms of both dine in and takeout, the food has let us down.
Awesome restaurant. Simple menu but everything is a banger. Loved the wontons, potstickers, and Dan Dan noodles. Inviting and fun vibe inside, too. Great cocktails. Another gem in the rotation of restaurants in Logan Square.
Really happy that the kitchen is open until 11 so we were able to have an incredible late dinner. every single dish is well thought out and delicious. mint on several things, which worked perfectly. and the cocktails are well curated.we sat at the bar and it was mostly private. there was one of the bar staff who had several friends coming to hang out at the bar as well, one being a very loud and intoxicated woman. but the environment otherwise was chill, nice lighting.the duck fried rice was well thought out and much lighter than you would think. but our favorite was the hand pulled noodles with beef. we will certainly be back.
