Bistro 6050 - Chicago

Bistro 6050 has this great mushroom soup that is totally delicious. They offer call ahead service, so the food will be ready and fresh when you arrive for pickup. The restaurant also offers delivery for anyone looking for the conveniences of not leaving their home. Not many vegan options on the menu but again the mushroom soup is great. Not to mention the business is woman owned. Would have only given it 3 stars because of the limited plant-based/vegan menu but the mushroom soup is great so I gave it 4.

Noticed this place as I was in the neighborhood and saw the great reviews. They are well earned! It's run by a euro/Filipino couple that puts their heritage into their food. Awesome people to chat with, food is amazing, personal service, great experience. Take a few minutes to chat with the owner when you order, you won't be disappointed. They also take pick up and delivery orders online which is convenient because they are currently accepting orders through an order window outdoors. I still recommend going in person to chat, but if it's cold or rainy use the website and don't miss out!

I can't decide which was better: meeting the owners or enjoying the food—both truly made our day! The owners have a captivating story to share; they are thoughtful, intelligent, hardworking, and genuinely lead with their hearts. It's clear that they care about their community, and I appreciate that their to-go utensils are wooden instead of plastic, indicating their concern for the environment as well. Now, about the food: we ordered two crepes, eight empanadas, two fresh mint teas, and two ice creams—all of it was outstanding! We had such a delightful meal, and we even have leftovers for lunch tomorrow! I can't wait to go back! These folks definitely deserve all the praise they receive!

I had a fantastic experience at Bistro 6050! We enjoyed delicious crepes and bubble teas while the owner was remarkably friendly and pleasant during our wait. He even took the time to give us a card so we could order ahead next time, helping us to reduce our wait time. With outstanding food and excellent service, I highly recommend this place!

These shakes are an amazing treat! I keep meaning to snap a photo before we dive in, but they're just that good—we can never wait long enough! I highly recommend the Nutella Espresso shake.
