Contribuiți la feedbackMy family and I had a late lunch at Wildwood in Northwich on Saturday 30th December 2023. The staff were attentive, friendly, and positive. We were a party of 4 adults and 1 child, and all of our meals were prepared to a high standard and were delicious. We ordered dishes such as mozzarella and caramelised onion garlic bread, a child's pizza, carbonara, lasagne, and a veggie calzone. We also enjoyed desserts. The QR code for allergies was helpful, and the staff made note of our allergy on the order as well. Although we couldn't take advantage of the lunchtime menu offer on this visit, we have done so in the past and it's a great deal. We will definitely return when we are in the area.
When the food finally arrived after a long wait of over 30 minutes, my friends enjoyed their calzones, but my baked aubergine did not meet my expectations. It looked good in the description and photo, but the actual dish was not as promised. It was only lukewarm when it reached me and cooled down quickly. The dish also seemed to be prepared with a large amount of oil, which affected the taste negatively. Overall, it was not a great experience and I doubt we will be returning, as there are many other restaurants in the area that offer similar or better dishes.
We made a reservation for a pre-show meal at this restaurant, giving ourselves nearly 2 hours to eat. This turned out to be a good decision, as the service was quite slow. It took almost an hour for our food to be served, and we had to continually ask for drinks as no one was checking on us regularly. The staff we interacted with were friendly, but seemed to be too overwhelmed with their workload to provide attentive service. Additionally, we were surprised to see that a 10% service charge was already included in the bill. When we requested for this charge to be removed, the employee we spoke to appeared visibly annoyed. Although it was great to see a bustling restaurant in Northwich, the slow service meant that we didn't have enough time to enjoy dessert or coffee.
We just love this place! We've had family meals, large group bookings and cosy date nights where we've had to dash in and out, In time to get the cinema in under 30 minutes and every time we've never been disappointed! The staff are always so friendly and accommodating, and we love how great the are with kids also. The food isn't bad either, cracking lasagna
After reporting the error the staff at the restaurant advised me that they would contact the driver the rectify the problem. After 30 mins and hearing nothing I called the restaurant for an update to be spoken to in a very rude and abrupt manner by a lady who saw fit to speak over me in louder and louder tones instead of listening or trying to reach a resolution. To be told 'it 's not our problem ' after they restaurant had admitted the giving the driver the incorrect order is unfathomable. Giving the driver the incorrect order most certainly was your problem and the fault of restaurant staff. The restaurant should have rectified the situation as you had two very unhappy customers because the restaurant messed up the orders. If I was dining in the restaurant and you 'd have brought the wrong order to my table you would have most certainly dealt with this in a very different manner! Would you have blamed the server and told me it wasn 't your problem? I don 't think so. Another tip, please use the hold function on your telephone so I can 't hear what you are saying as you transfer calls next time ;
