Mackey’s Seafood Bar Restaurant

Apparently I haven 't been paying attention this year, because I didn 't realize we now have a business with warmth and a wonderful vibe in Mackey 's Seafood. The first person I saw nodded to me as I drove by, and since I recognized that the logo on his shirt matched the business logo, I started smiling and said to myself I 'm definitely ordering from there. Greeted with a smile and excellent customer service by the second person, I knew I 'd made the right decision. I 'm definitely coming back to sit at this bar and soak up some old school R&B, and more of the owners ' positive vibe. The restaurant has that where everybody knows your name feel, but with class. All food is cooked to order, so do wait patiently. Wipe your feet on the mat out front and relax.

I will try to keep this brief:My wife had the Shrimp Special -The shrimp tasted as if they had sat out too long, had little seasoning and had a faint taste of burned plastic (the one I ate). We opted to throw away the food rather than eat it despite both loving shrimp. The rest of the food had the same tainted flavor. She was never offered cocktail sauce or any sauce with her entrée.I had the two Crab cakes meal:The crab cakes were edible, but there was far too much seasoning on them. The meat had the consistency of a canned tuna, but was crab.The sides for both the meals were not very good. I had to inquire about sauces as well. The hot sauce was an old bay hot sauce that added to the overly seasoned old bay crab cakes. The tartar sauce was unremarkable.Our children had kids meals that were from the frozen food aisle. Cheeseburger was underdressed, tenders were over cooked, onion rings were over battered and the batter never got crispy.End of the night, we spent $100 dollars for food that was worse than fast food. There was little to nothing redeemable about the food.The service was extraordinarily slow for an empty restaurant, but he staff were friendly. I hope this is growing pains and the food will improve. I do not know if I will ever return, though.

The delivery service was nice but the food was nasty over seasoned like they were hiding something Salty and should not have been sold I’d like to have a full refund this is not Maryland Crabmeat it from someplace else like Venezuela or North Carolinaand customer should be told the truth about what they are eating it hard to fool a person from a Maryland who has work in the industry for about 10 year or better.

If I could give less than 1 star I would, This placed messed up on my wife Uber Eats order three separate times.Ordering in the restaurant maybe a better experience, but I definitely DO NOT recommend anyone order from this place through Uber Eats.Buyer please beware

Mackey's Owings Mills has been closed for almost a year. They didn't even last for more than a few months in this location.
