Contribuiți la feedbackI love, love, love CCs Chicken and Waffles! For my DMV area peeps, Glady’s Chicken and Waffles has nothing on CC’s Chicken and Waffles. The homemade syrup is like nothing you’ve ever tasted. It’s awesome all by itself. The chicken is juicy and crispy but not burnt. Conveniently located by the sea wall, don’t forget to check out CC’s when you are in Okinawa, Japan! #thecantysmithstravel
This place was recommended because I was told that it had amazing chicken and waffles. Turns out the chicken and waffles are just average. There was no defining flavor in the food that made it stick out. Also the price is on the higher end compared to other places around the area. It's not worth trying to find a parking place, waiting for a table, and then waiting for your order just to eat bland chicken and waffles. The only thing i did enjoy was the sauce that came with the waffles.
1/2023 Chicken, waffles, syrup, very good Buffalo wings, great. Mac n cheese, eh. The day we went it was quite cluttered inside, so… not a nice ambience type of place. But again, food was good.
I went for dinner on Thursday when it wasn 't busy. My family and I were the only customers, so I got to experience great service. The music was especially good. The food was good, but the chicken thigh was basically a very thin slice of chicken making up about 10% of the piece and 90% fried batter. The waffles were very good, especially with added toppings and their syrup. The buffalo wings weren 't very saucy; really nothing special. Then came the bill. They added an item to the end of the bill titled Ex Rate . When I asked what it is, the lady told me it was a fee for the exchange rate, but that was clearly a lie because the $7.50 waffle and 2-piece chicken was listed as 1050 yen on the bill, which is already at the correct conversion rate of 140 yen per dollar, maybe slightly in their favor since the yen rate right now is hovering around 137-138, so that should cover the costs of converting the money. And if paying by credit card, my bank handles the exchange rate automatically. Then she told me, if you pay cash, we take off that fee. Aha, so it was actually an exorbitant credit card fee, not a currency exchange fee. If they would 've charged about 3% or so for a credit card fee, I wouldn 't have minded, but my fee was 1114 yen on top of 5070 yen worth of food, or about 22%! And of course they tax the fee, too, so it was over 1200 yen for a credit card fee. An absolute rip-off, and I imagine many customers just pay without noticing it. It feels like they 're stealing money from unwary customers, and that just isn 't morally acceptable to me. For parking, if you go on a weekday evening when it 's not busy, you 'll find plenty of parking along the seawall.
Friendly and hospitable. We were looking for a spot to park and the owner motioned for us to park in front of his restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious too!!
