Mr. Charles Chicken And Fish

This could not be better. Old school “in the cut” chicken shack. I’ve had the chicken, both light and dark and never disappoints to be juicy, crispy and perfect without being oily. Pork chops are good and reliable. The fish was a surprise. I am from Florida, I grew up on really good fried fish; this fish was right up there. Flaky, moist and perfectly fried and crispy.And on top of all the the staff is amazing, friendly, patient and helpful.My only regret is they don’t have jumbo size sweet tea! I’ll forgive them and buy my own sweet tea because the food and service are THAT good! BEST FRIED CHICKEN in the Queen City!Parking: Lot is narrown and behind restaurant (like an L) not enough spaces, no clear markings, narrow driveway, easy to get into pickles with other customers where you pile up and are sure you’re going to scrape at least one car besides yours.

This was my first visit here and definitely my last. I had the catfish, chicken and shrimp with collard greens and potato salad. With the exception of the potato salad, everything was too salty. After speaking with the manager, she graciously replaced my food and had them cook it with no salt. From the wonderful waitress to the manager, Sonya, the service was EXCELLENT. The food, not so much.

The fight night event here was most amazing. From one of the owners to our waitress NAJ who was A we were a party of 6 and felt very looked after and cared for from beginning to ending!! DJ Ram was on point!! The food is always amazing!! I ordered the grilled lobster tail with shrimp. It arrived fried and without hesitation, with one mention it was corrected readily with warmth and superior customer service! You guys really have it going on!! Thank you for making it a fantastic experience!!

Outstanding staff. The food is excellent. I have tried thier Dinner and Brunch and I have not been disappointed yet. Friday night is the best night ever. Adult karaoke ? Night.Food: 5/5

Highly disappointed that it took over 30 minutes for 1 meal when people who ordered after me got their food. Finally my turn and my food was knocked over, they took it to the back to remake. The door is blocked so you can’t see them in the back and it amazed me it took less than a minute for my food to come back so I asked for reassurance that my food was remade. I asked if they could show me that it was trashed, they would not show me that it was trashed or anything so asked for a refund…very disappointed and my trust is lost will never return!
