Chicken Box has the BEST CHICKEN in Charlotte in my opinion!!

If I lived close to this place I would eat here everyday .

Music is way too loud, no wait staff, I don't know if this is a cafe or restaurant neither only for to go orders, the dining room is open for to go orders only

I had the opportunity to visit here recently and wanted to bring back the taste of NC fry chicken to NYC for my husband to try as thus place was right outside my hotel I decided to get an 8 piece fry chicken, the Mix gizzard and liver, 2 smothered pork chops and 2 fried pork chops now me being from Trinidad and my husband with his SC roots was very excited and what we expected. He said he really loved the smothered pork chops, the gizzard, and fry pork chops he loved the texture, taste, and flavor. I never had smothered pork, so I like it, not love it. The fried pork chop I loved and enjoyed the fry liver, which my Mom cooked, never fried, so this was my first time. However, we both agreed that we were not very impressed with the fry chicken and felt it needed more seasoning and would be good with a spicy kick to it. If I am in the area again, i am ever in the area. I would definitely go there again to try some of their MANY many dishes. The workers are very friendly and helpful with suggestions the place is very clean with chairs you can sit on while waiting for your cooked to order meal I love that the food is not sitting in trays for hours but cooked as you order which means your food is cooked fresh so PLEASE have patients and wait or order and go ahead and run your errands. There are also a few tables you can sit and eat if you don't want to take it home and share. I would recommend this place to everyone. And see you all next year after winter, God willing.
