Honestly, we felt that the dings seemed bought. the place has really become a disappointment. sad.
The location and outdoor seating is gorgeous. The coffee is only so-so and even though it wasn't terribly busy, the wait was long and our order wasn't correct. They fixed it for us when we alerted them of the error.
We’ve been coming here every now and then for the past 4 or 5 years, and we have seen the quality decline. The place had a French owner before, which was great because they were offering authentic buckwheat crepes (eggless), and the regular crepes were fantastic. We kept on coming when the new owner took over and, while they didn’t offer buckwheat crepes anymore, the regular crepes were still very good.Today, we came for the last time. The crepes were definitely not made by order: they were COLD. Not as in “I made these 10 minutes ago and they’re cold”, but more like “I took these out of the fridge 10 minutes ago”. Surprisingly, they were crunchy on the edges (crunchy crepes are not even a thing). They were also lacking in filling: they used to spread hazelnut spread inside the whole crepes, and now they spread it in the middle, so you end up with a half-empty crepe. If this was our first time, we wouldn’t come back again. Since we have been coming for years and we know how the quality has gone down…we won’t be coming back either. If you’re looking for crepes, go to the other crepe place in Charleston. If you like the place or you eat something different, come here.
After waiting for a good 20-30 minutes and watching food be served to everyone who came way after us we had to ask the guy with the extremely smug look on his face about the status of our order. The excuse provided was oh the printer in the back isn't working properly yet it worked perfectly fine for everyone that was served food already. He was unapologetic but the lady from the kitchen helped get the food out after she was asked and at that point as an apology she said she'll send some complimentary croissants that never arrived. Never again will we return to this place. Food was subpar
The shop was moderately busy at 11:00 on a Sunday morning. Service was relatively quick. Seemed to be a number of phone-in (or online) orders handled between walk-in orders.Staff was friendly. Please add heavy cream as a option for coffee.
