I made the good choice to try it and have to tell you it's one of the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Since the first venture into the Aarons deli Wraps, I have tried all Po Boy Sandwiches as wraps....lo Carb Gourmet, who knew?
We went to Aaron's Deli for lunch, but after we went up and down a few times, we said it was the same entrance as the Hyman Seafood Restaurant. You seem to be separated, but I guess you can sit in any place and choose your menu. The restaurant consists of many dining rooms in the upper and lower floors in an old building. After we were sent up to the dining room of the restaurant, we were greeted by a charming waiter. He brought a bowl of boiled peanuts and took our orders from the Deli menu. The place was busy, and the waiting staff seemed to be rushing, but our waiter often checked back. I had a delicious She Crab Soup and a wonderful (but messy) Fried Green Tomato BLT. My husband had the reubs that were wonderful. If we had been there another day, I would have tried her Seafood dinner. Definitely not a beautiful place, but we would definitely return.
Was just a bit bland and generally had no taste except the sauce with which it came.
FINALLY GOOD PICKLES, you want real deli come here. The food took a bit to come out but we were there during peak time and it was definitely worth it. The burger club (I think that was the name) was really good, definitely recommend that with the chips. The key lime pie was also very tasty, it had the perfect tang. Overall this was a very enjoyable experience especially since my family has history with this place and I was able to listen to their stories about it. Definitely recommend here except you should plan around the wait for the food, but it IS worth it!
I finally found some good pickles! If you want a truly authentic deli experience, this is the place to come. Although the food took a little while to come out, we were there during a busy time and it was definitely worth the wait. The burger club (I believe that was the name) was delicious, especially when paired with the chips. The key lime pie was also very tasty, with just the right amount of tanginess. Overall, this was a very enjoyable experience, especially since my family has a history with this place and I was able to hear their stories about it. I highly recommend this place, just be prepared for a potential wait for the food - but it is definitely worth it!
