Great Harvest Bread Co - Chapel Hill

I am very disappointed. My family and I have been loyal customers of Great Harvest locations in Northern Virginia for 25 years, where we've consistently had excellent experiences. We recently discovered this location in Chapel Hill and decided to try it. However, I purchased a loaf of white bread today, and when I got home and took it out of the bag, I found it was moldy. There was a large patch of black mold, along with several other spots scattered throughout the loaf. It was clear that this was not a fresh loaf from today. This is extremely unprofessional and disappointing. At the Virginia locations, I have never had to ask whether the bread was fresh.

I absolutely love their variety of freshly baked breads. They are simply delicious!

The chocolate chip scone was delicious and satisfying. The bakers really did a great job.

I highly recommend them! I have always enjoyed their bread and cookies, but today I had a FANTASTIC tuna salad sandwich for lunch. It was just excellent.

Decent selection of reasonably priced pastries. I got a cinnamon roll, which I was ready to eat right then and there, but it was served to-go and microwaved to the point that it was too hot to eat and the icing was a soupy mess?so I did another quick errand to let it cool down a bit before chowing down.
