Deli Edison - Chapel Hill

We really wanted to like this place but it was not hitting on a whole lot. We waited a long time for 2 sandwiches to be made and it was a very slow time of the day, I think they had one other order but still somehow managed to mess up a sandwich so we had to continue to wait for it to be fixed. The sandwich itself was on unimpressive bread (looked and tasted like average store bought load bread) and the contents of the turkey BLT just tasted like something I could throw together in my own kitchen, nothing special at all. The sandwiches are incredibly overpriced for what we got and not filling. We had to drive to a fast food restaurant to get good drinks and additional food to fill us up.

Wonderful place to dine. Food is great, atmosphere is great, employees very helpful.. would definitely recommend!

If you're looking for the Italian, Jewish, or Greek deli like you had back home; this isn't it. What it is, is an excellent sandwich shop with fresh-made bagels, delicious food, and a wonderful, friendly staff. Everything I've eaten there has been expertly prepared from top-quality ingredients. The only negative I can say about Deli Edison is that they're not open longer hours.

I noticed a significant improvement since my last visit about a year ago. The service was exceptional—positive, quick, and professional. The head chef really set a great example, and it was evident that the team is top-notch. The bagel was perfectly toasty and delicious, and the portion of lox was generous. There were absolutely no disappointments. We’ll definitely be adding Edison Deli back to our weekly breakfast list, and you should too!
