Tonight, my husband and I had a delightful evening celebrating my birthday at Nena and Alfredo’s Venezuelan restaurant. We felt like we were at a family member’s house, warmly welcomed and fed delicious food. We had a Pabellon with carne mechada, spinach cheese and platano macho (yum! and Arepas with chorizo with spinach cheese. So good!! Oh, and the traditional Bebida papelon con limon. Nena Alfredo gave us both a big hug before we headed home. I am so glad we live only 250 meters away, so we can come back on a regular basis.

Great food! My favorite was the spinach and cheese, but I prefer to eat vegetarian. My brother and bestie enjoyed theirs too!
