Regato Lagar - PÓVOA DE RIO DE MOINHOS

Este é um dos meus restaurantes favoritos na região de Castelo Branco e Fundão. Muito bem decorado, atmosfera maravilhosa, SEM televisão, flores na mesa e comida deliciosa. Pessoas muito amigáveis.

Excellent food! Bacalhau (cod fish) was one of kind with Batatas no Murro and onions. The restaurant was set in an old olive press with several artifacts from the beginning of the 20th century. The manager, Dona Alda, and our waiter, Luis, provided us with excellent service. It is definitely worth the visit.

There is a restaurant on site, but this is also a wedding and event venue, based in an old olive farm but with a very modern event space. We had a fantastic time here at a family wedding. They were catering for over 100 guests but the food was first class, from tables laden with canapes and snacks when we arrived, to the four course meal, and through to the enormous buffet in the evening. Everyone commented on the quality of the food, both the Brits and the locals, and the service was amazing very well organised, efficient and friendly. The hard work they put in meant we could all relax and have fun. Castelo Branco is about 2 hours drive from Lisbon, but we would thoroughly recommend Herdade Do Regato for a wedding or any other large event, or just a great meal in the restaurant.

Vegan option available! very friendly staff. the vegan option was not on the menu, but when I asked they were very happy to offer something. they had a soyaburger, salate and sweet. for the kartoffels they used a spread that they were not sure whether they contained milk in themselves, so wait. the place is beautiful! Delicious menu, mistake with one of the fishes of our party has been noticed before they asked and corrected in a very professional and curious way, eating is delicious but expensive for the opposite service and quality top notch!
