Maison Carre - Castelnaud-la-Chapelle

Pricey and decent pastries along with packaged chocolates and chocolate dipped apricots/ oranges, macaroons, Torrone, Perigot walnut cookies etc…. Was happy to find a bakery that was open where much of these beautiful French village towns are closed until April 1

We have been visiting this place for many years. The quality is outstanding. We often come for morning pastries and there is usually a queue but the staff work hard and the queue moves fast.

Couple of years ago redecorated. Coin machine and all. Large selection of bread. Pain aux noix, tranché ou non, delicious. July and august all week open for business.

Much too much waiting and not enough bread coming to the reserve is exhausted

Tops! A party! Nothing equivalent in a radius of!! Don't forget to stop there!
