La Plazuela - Carmona

This pretty restaurant is off the main drag but worth going to find. Embarrassingly we can’t speak Spanish so struggled to understand what the waiter was telling us. There is no menu, he just reads a list of what is good and we just trusted him. What came out was beautiful, and served with care and pride. Loved it, and will come back here

In a quiet plaza, hidden behind foliage, lies this little gem La Plazuela. The owner, Carmen, makes everyone feel at home, as do other patrons, many of whom are locals and regulars. Walking by, it seemed intimate and private, but soon we were flagged down by three patrons who told us it was the best place in town and they should know; they'd been there for the past 6 hours! We let Carmen choose our tapas: jamon iberico, aged goat cheese artfully arranged on the plate, gigantic mussels, and the spinach and garbanzo beans seasoned with cumin typical of the area. All washed down with a very nice tinto from Ribera del Duero. We watched as the table next to us grew from 2 people to 4 to 6 and then to 12. All were friends of the owner's son. Neighbors came by to greet these young men who'd left Carmona and come back. It seemed like a special night, but I suspect every night at La Plazuela leaves guests feeling enchanted.

Despite the language barrier the staff were superb, very friendly and helpful. We asked them to pick five tapas for us and they were all excellent. The mushrooms in particular were the best thing I have eaten in Spain.

En la Plazuela de Lasso, muy cerca de Santa María y el convento de Las Descalzas, se encuentra La Plazuela ; auténtico monumento al buen gusto. Comer bien en un ambiente espontáneo, familiar y cercano. Lugar en el que, además, la magia de la música y el arte tienen cabida. Visita obligada para el que transite por la milenaria ciudad de Carmona.

Excelente tratamiento, calidad de la comida superior Usted debe buscar esta acogedora plaza para disfrutar de un maravilloso almuerzo o cena. las muy buenas rebanadas
