I ordered bbq chicken and sides of corn salad and baked beans. Everything tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for days. Tough and dry. My kid ate the French fries though.
Prices might seem high to the average park goer, but they're right in line with typical barbecue places. This food has consistently been the best food in the park, I've ate it on and off for 19 years now!My only complaints Texas BBQ with Carolina BBQ Sauce Beer people kept walking away, took me 3 trips thru the food line to get a beer Park staff seemed oblivious that people were taking full beers out into the park.
Brisket was dry and over salted. I had to have my friend help me chew it my from haw tightening up. Jalapeño cheese sausage was good as well as the BBQ beans. Bread was dry and unflavorful. I saw a couple of Texans crying in the corner from how awful their meat was.
Expensive but what do you expect at a theme park, meats are dry with no bbq sauce choices but what you expect from a theme park. Drinks are expensive but what do you expect at a theme park, one beer per person per trip. They give you Hawaiian rolls, brisket lacked flavor, beans were just plain with nothing added not plain pinto beans), pulled pork was ok, jalapeño cheddar sausage was out of a Johnsonville package and the fries were ok. You question when do they smoke the meats and where do they smoke it???? There is a bbq pit outside but it was never used the 3 days I walked past it. Just go here when you are absolutely out of choices.
