Chez Le Gaulois - Carcans

My husband and I along with our 3 kids just got back from a weeks camping near Carcans. We highly recommend Chez le Gaulois as they honestly bake the best bread in the area. (trust me...i tried all the bakeries). The selection of breads are fantastic as well as their delicious pastries which are baked on site every morning. My boys couldn't get enough of the pain au chocolate! Well worth a visit for your daily bread especially if you are camping near by!

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a weeks holiday in Maubuisson. We fell in love with Chez Le Gaulois and it quickly became our favourite spot for lunch and afternoon drinking! It's in a perfect location, a stones throw away from the lake. Lovely staff, Clement and Mathieu are so helpful and accommodating and they speak great English! There is a wide selection of lovely sandwiches and salads and the wine is very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend stopping here for your fresh bread and great wines!

I recently got back from a week away camping with friends in Maubuisson! On day one we discovered chez le gaulois as we were cycling round trying to find somewhere for breakfast! What a discovery it was! Delicious freshly baked bread and croissants, juices and a fantastic smoothie selection! So good we went for breakfast everyday! Well worth a visit for breakfast or a glass of wine after a day at the beach! Free wifi was added a bonus!
