The food is enjoyable, and the cocktails are decent. However, the service is quite slow, and the waitstaff don’t check in on you often enough. If it weren't for the beautiful view, I probably wouldn't consider returning.
First time we went there for breakfast, we were first given menu without breakfast and it was not even 11 yet. And luckily the guy who came to take our order rectified that. Problem is that we went back again the second time and another guy gave us the other menu with wines and cocktails and when we asked for the breakfast menu, he told us they were done with breakfast, just dropped the menus and left us there. Not even suggestion of what maybe we can get from the menu and it was still around 11am, which is early for heavy meals. But the place has a nice view and maybe something to go back for as it's a fresh breeze.
However, throughout the evening, I noticed several waiters standing around, laughing and joking with one another, which contradicted their earlier claims of service issues. On a positive note, the food and drinks were excellent, and we enjoyed our meal. Being a Monday with burger specials, it was understandably busy, and the restaurant was packed. We ordered dessert but waited quite a while without any updates. The waiter was preoccupied helping his colleagues at other tables, and when he finally came over, he regretfully informed us that only one of the four desserts we ordered was available. At that point, we decided to cancel our dessert order and asked for the bill. A few minutes later, the waiter returned to say all four desserts were now ready and could be served. By that time, my parents had already gotten up from the table, and my wife and I were just waiting to settle the bill. To make matters worse, not one of the three managers approached us to see if they could assist either the waiter or us, which led to us feeling embarrassed as the waiter kept running back and forth between the kitchen and our table. It was unclear if there was a communication issue, but I believe management could have implemented small changes to help alleviate the pressure on the staff and improve service. They were aware they would be short-staffed and busy due to their special promotion every Monday. If I were in management, I would have considered limiting some menu items or reducing the seating capacity temporarily, or a combination of both. This could have relieved some stress in the kitchen and allowed waiters to give better, more focused service to their tables.
What an amazing experience! We were a big group and they took care of us very well. Glasses always full, good top notch and so the service was friendly, joking and just fantastic people. A great place with a good old fashion smoker lounge! Love it! O and the outside view of the waterfall...
